The idea for Waxwing Yarn started several years ago when I was searching for local wool options and had a challenging time finding just the right product for my projects. At the same time, I was growing frustrated by the large stash of wool I was accumulating and wished I could purchase the yarn I wanted in smaller quantities to reduce my waste. Ultimately, I wished to make more purposeful purchases and minimize any surplus. Waxwing Yarn was born from my belief in the exceptional quality of Canadian wool, the need for smaller volume yarn options, and my desire to create a safe and inclusive space where all makers can come together and share their craft.
